Psychedelic Program: Public Groups & Special Events

Services        About Us        Advisory Board        Public Groups & Special Events

Have you had a psychedelic experience and are looking for someone to talk to? Curious about what you’ve read about psychedelics in the news? Or maybe someone you know uses psychedelics and you’re wondering if it’s safe? Come to one of our monthly public groups, workshops or special guest lectures to learn more, share your story, and have your questions answered in a safe, supportive environment. Each event will be facilitated by one of our professionals and will include group discussion.

2017 Groups

Psychedelic integration groups are open to the public and meet the third Wednesday of each month from 7-9pm at 370 Lexington Ave, Suite 500. General admission, student discounts and package deals are available. Each group is led by Dr. Katherine MacLean, who is the director of our program and former research scientist and psychedelic guide in the Johns Hopkins Psilocybin Research Program.

*DISCLAIMER: The Psychedelic Education and Continuing Care Program does not provide psychoactive or illicit substances. We do not conduct or promote psychedelic psychotherapy and we do not provide referrals to “underground” (illegal) psychedelic services. Please do not attempt to distribute psychedelic drugs at group meetings or use the groups to disseminate information about underground psychedelic services. We strongly discourage the active use of psychedelics or other psychoactive drugs during group meetings.

Workshop on “Integrating Psychedelic Experiences” at the 2017 Psychedelic Science Conference (SOLD OUT)
Location: Oakland, CA

Description: The Psychedelic Education and Continuing Care Program (based in New York City), ERIE (Entheogenic Research, Integration, and Education, based in San Francisco, CA), and the Temple of the Way of Light (based in Iquitos, Peru) are offering a day-long workshop on “Integrating Psychedelic Experiences”. This educational and interactive workshop will focus on the process by which psychedelic experiences can be incorporated over time into one’s life in a way that benefits the individual and their community. Workshop leaders will present guidelines, tools and best practices for how to work with the full range of experiences, from intensely positive and insightful to challenging and confusing. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in interactive group sessions where workshop leaders will illustrate the different approaches that they are using to support integration, facilitate positive life change and reduce potential harms associated with psychedelic use. This workshop is designed to be helpful for individuals interested in exploring psychedelic substances, those who are curious about how to help friends/family members who are using psychedelics, as well as clinicians looking to educate themselves on how to support clients who use psychedelics. Workshop presenters will include Katherine MacLean, Ph.D., Ingmar Gorman, M.A. of The Psychedelic Program, Julie Megler, MSN BP-NC of ERIE, and Tanya Maté, N.D., the Temple of the Way of Light’s Integration Director.
